FORT COLLINS – Platte River Power Authority has hired Jacqueline Sargent to be the utility’s new General Manager.
Sargent has over 24 years of experience in the energy industry including electric and gas utility operations, power generation, energy marketing, rates and regulatory affairs, strategic planning, renewable energy development and project management. Sargent most recently held the position of Sr. Vice President of Power Supply and Market Operations for Austin Energy, one of the nation’s largest municipal utilities located in Austin, Texas.
"Jackie's extensive experience will strongly complement the talent that already exists within Platte River’s management team and staff," said Estes Park Mayor Bill Pinkham, Chairman of Platte River’s general manager search committee.
Sargent replaces retiring GM Brian Moeck on August 27.
