Rawhide Flats Solar Project

Expanding Renewable Energy in Northern Colorado

Platte River Power Authority believes that delivering reliable, cost effective, environmentally responsible energy isn’t just our job—it’s part of the long-standing promise we have made to our communities to improve the way people use and think of energy.

We are committed to providing a diverse energy portfolio, and that’s why we are excited to announce Rawhide Flats Solar. This facility will provide enough solar energy production for up to 6,000 homes, and further our commitment to diversify our portfolio.

Experience Environmental Benefits of Enhanced Renewable Energy Sources

The 185-acre solar energy facility, which is located at our Rawhide Energy Station north of Fort Collins, will include about 117,000 photo-voltaic panels to provide another eco-friendly electricity source to the Estes Park, Fort Collins, Longmont, and Loveland communities.
