New Construction and Renovations
Save Energy. Save Money. Save the Environment. The Electric Efficiency Program
provides funding to help you conserve energy and reduce
component and equipment costs when constructing a new building or
making major renovations or additions to an existing one.
What Projects Can I Consider? Frequently Asked Questions (FAQs) New Construction and Renovations Application Form W-9 - Request for Taxpayer Identification Number and Certificiation: This form must be complete and returned with your application. Affidavit of Lawful Presence in the United States -- This form is required by state law if you are an individual or sole proprietor (i.e., not a corporation or partnership) applying for utility incentives. This must be completed and returned with your application.
Cash incentives are available for buildings being built or renovated. Incentives are provided for a prescriptive (pre-determined) list of electricity-saving measures and for custom measures*. Examples of prescriptive measures: Roof top air conditioners and package terminal units (formerly Cooling Rebate Program) Evaporative coolers (direct and indirect) Building envelope component upgrades Lighting and controls High efficiency electric motors ENERGY STAR® equipment Food service equipment Grocery & refrigeration equipmentExamples of custom measures: Central plant cooling Variable frequency drives Energy recovery units Demand ventilation and modulated exhaust systems Refrigeration systems Upgrades unique to individual facilities*Incentives for fuel switching and electric power generation are not currently available.
